Abstract

Crime is a normal phenomenon, and none of the societies can fully get rid of it. Children differ from adults in physical and psychological development. Because of this difference, when a child encounters a law, his fault is less. These and other differences lead to the independent existence of a juvenile justice system. The article “Legal proceedings for minors in a historical context” discusses the historical past of the trial of minors. It is a merit of the past that the system “Justice system for minors” is formed today and thanks to it we have a lot of juveniles who do not get behind bars.
