Authorship and Co-authorship Policy

Definition of Authorship

An author is defined as an individual who has made a substantial intellectual contribution to the development of the research concept, analysis, preparation of the manuscript, and approval of its final version, and who assumes responsibility for the accuracy, academic integrity, and overall integrity of the research.

Authorship Criteria and Contribution Transparency

The number of authors must be reasonably justified and correspond to each individual’s actual academic contribution. To ensure transparency of authorship, the Editorial Board reserves the right to request a statement of individual author contributions. This section should reflect each author’s actual academic involvement at all stages of the research and, if provided, will be published together with the manuscript.

Limitation on Manuscript Submissions

To maintain the quality and diversity of the editorial process, only one manuscript per author will be accepted within a single issue.

Responsibilities of the Corresponding Author

In the case of co-authorship, the corresponding author is responsible for submitting the manuscript and communicating with the Editorial Board through the journal’s OJS electronic management system.

Obligation to Provide Contact Information

The corresponding author is required to provide the Editorial Board with complete contact information for all co-authors, including institutional affiliation and email address.

Use of ORCID iD

All authors are required to provide their ORCID iD during the submission process to ensure accurate author identification, transparency of academic records, and proper attribution of scholarly work.

Verification of Co-authorship

All co-authors must confirm their authorship and consent to publication through the journal’s official email address (info@lawandworld.ge). Otherwise, the manuscript will not proceed to the editorial review process.

Order of Authorship

The order of authorship shall be determined by agreement among the authors.

Acknowledgment of Non-Author Contributions

Individuals who contributed to the research but whose involvement does not meet the criteria for authorship, including technical, administrative, or other supporting contributions, should be acknowledged in the “Acknowledgments” section and should not be listed as co-authors.
